• User Input Text: The Extension captures text from input fields, textareas, and contenteditable elements on web pages where you explicitly engage the "Optimize Prompt" or rewrite features. This is necessary to process and enhance your text using AI.
• Extension Settings: We collect and store your preferences, such as your domain exclusion list (sites where you choose to hide the Extension UI).
• Metadata: Basic context about the request (e.g., the purpose of the enhancement) may be processed to improve AI response quality.

The Extension requires the <all_urls> permission to detect input fields and provide its features across the websites you visit. However, data collection only occurs when you interact with the Extension's UI.

2. Data Handling and Processing

The data collected is handled with strict adherence to privacy principles:

• Purpose Limitation: User input text is processed solely to provide text enhancement and optimization services. It is not used for any other purpose.
• Secure Transmission: All data transferred between your browser and the processing services is encrypted using Industry-standard HTTPS/TLS.
• Automation: Text processing is performed automatically by AI models without human intervention by our development team.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Cloud Storage: We (the developer) do not store your input text or the AI-generated responses on our own servers. Once the enhancement request is completed, the data is transiently processed and not retained in our persistent storage.
• Local Storage: Your extension settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data remains under your control within your browser.
• Third-Party Retention: Data sent to the Google Gemini API is subject to Google's data retention policies for their generative AI services.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Data sharing is limited to the following:

• Google Gemini API: Your input text is shared with Google LLC via the Gemini API to generate the enhanced text. Google's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Google APIs Terms of Service.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

5. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view your stored settings within the extension interface.
• Erasure: You can clear your local settings by removing the Extension or clearing browser data. Since we do not store your input data, there is no server-side data for us to delete.
